Ford Mondeo scoops best petrol tow car in Tow Car Awards 2015

When choosing a towing vehicle, the general rule has always been the larger (the engine) the better. More power, combined with weight always lead to better stability, but in recent years this has changed somewhat. Caravans have become lighter, engines have become more efficient, and with the help of electric "turbo boost" technology, thieve come leaps and bounds.
This has been reflected in this years Tow Car Awards, with the winner for petrol vehicles, going to the new Ford Mondeo, with a modest, 1.5T EcoBoost engine.
Maybe its time for the large 4x4 to step aside and the era of the family saloon is upon us.
