You can sell your motorhome or campervan to us without advertising it, holding viewings or haggling on your driveway. Fill in the four step form, we come back with a free offer with no obligation, and if you accept we collect it from wherever it is, anywhere in the UK, at no cost to you. There are no fees and no commission taken off the price.
How selling your motorhome to us works
- Tell us about it. Make, model, year, rough mileage and anything we should know, good or bad. It takes about ninety seconds.
- Get an honest offer. Based on what you actually have, not a headline number that shrinks when someone turns up.
- Agree a collection. Driveway, storage yard, campsite or a garage that has given up on it. You pick the day.
- We collect it. Free of charge, anywhere in the UK. The price agreed is the price you are paid, with nothing taken off for transport.
If you say no to the offer, that is the end of it. No follow-up calls and no pressure.

What decides what your motorhome is worth
There is no single price guide that values a motorhome properly. A registration lookup will price the base van, but it knows nothing about the living space built on top of it, and that is often where most of the value sits. These are the things that move the number:
- The base vehicle. Age, mileage, service history and MOT. A well maintained diesel with a big mileage is not a problem. A neglected one with a low mileage can be.
- The habitation side. Damp readings, whether the heating, fridge, water and electrics all work, and the state of the washroom.
- Layout. Fixed rear beds, garage models and sensible four berth layouts are in steady demand. Unusual layouts take longer to find a home.
- Extras. Solar panels, extra leisure batteries, an awning, a bike rack, reversing camera, satellite dish or a tow bar all count.
- Paperwork. The V5C logbook, service stamps and habitation check records. Missing documents are usually workable, but tell us up front.
Timing matters too. Searches for motorhomes and campervans in the UK climb from spring and peak through the summer, then drop to roughly half by December. If you have the choice, selling before the season starts usually means more interest in your van.

Selling a campervan
Campervans are a different market from coachbuilt motorhomes. Buyers want them as daily drivers as well as holiday vans, so the base vehicle carries more weight: mileage, service history, which engine it has and whether the conversion is on a V5C as a motor caravan.
VW campervans hold their value well, and older Transporter and classic campers can be worth far more than their age suggests. Tell us about the conversion, who did it, the roof type (fixed, elevating or pop top) and what the bed and kitchen set-up is.
Your options for selling a motorhome, compared
There is no single best way to sell a motorhome. The route that pays the most is rarely the quickest or the least hassle, so it is worth knowing what each one really involves.
| Route | Likely price | Good points | Drawbacks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private sale | Usually the highest | You set the price and keep all of it. | Adverts, photos, time wasters and viewings at your home. You carry the payment risk and keep paying insurance, tax and storage until it sells. |
| Listing site | Close to private | Reaches a lot of buyers. | Still a private sale underneath. You pay to list it and still handle every enquiry and viewing yourself. |
| Dealer part exchange | Below private | One simple transaction. | Only works if you are buying from that dealer, and the trade-in figure is tied to the price of the new van. |
| Sale or return | Varies | A dealer sells it for you. | Commission comes off, it can sit on a forecourt for months, and there is no guarantee it sells. |
| A buying service like us | Below a private sale | A firm offer, no fees, free collection, and it is off your hands quickly. | You give up some of the top price in exchange for certainty and no hassle. |
If the price matters more than the time, a private sale is worth trying. If you want it sold without the work, or it has problems that put private buyers off, an offer from us is the simplest route.
Self builds and part-finished conversions
Self builds are worth telling us about properly. A tidy, well wired conversion with a proper habitation door and gas certificate is a very different proposition from a van with a bed frame and a leisure battery in the back.
We also buy part-finished projects. If you started a conversion and life got in the way, say so on the form. It is a common story and not a problem.
Our guide to selling a campervan or self-build conversion covers the paperwork and the logbook question in more detail.
Non-runners, MOT failures and damp
A motorhome that will not start is still worth money, and often more than people expect, because the habitation side is untouched. Do not scrap it before you have asked. Tell us what it needs and where it is sitting.
The same goes for damp. A damp motorhome still has a base vehicle with real value, so it is rarely a write-off. Tell us what you know and roughly where the damp is, and the offer will reflect it honestly. Our damp and damaged page explains more.
Motorhome still on finance?
You can still sell it, but the finance has to be settled before ownership can pass. Tell us on the form that there is money outstanding and we will talk you through how it works. Our guide to selling a caravan that is still on finance covers the same principles.
What to have ready on collection day
- The V5C logbook
- All keys, including habitation door and locker keys
- Service history and any habitation check records
- The current MOT certificate, if it has one
- Manuals and any extras sold with it, such as the awning or bike rack
Missing something? Mention it on the form. It rarely stops a sale, it just helps to know in advance.
Questions
Questions we get asked
It depends on what matters most to you. A private sale usually gets the highest price but takes the most time and effort. A dealer part exchange suits you if you are buying another van from them. Selling to a buyer like us gets you a firm offer, no fees and free collection, in exchange for a little less than the top private price.
Fill in our form for a free valuation. A registration lookup only prices the base vehicle, so it misses the habitation side, the layout and the extras. We look at all of it.
